How Caremate Wellness Solutions Helps Veterans Access In‑Home Support
Veterans and surviving spouses in the Central Texas, Dallas–Fort Worth area deserve access to high‑quality home care—without the burden of cost or complexity. In 2026, many qualifying veterans may access VA-funded benefits such as Aid & Attendance, Homemaker & Home Health Aide (H/HHA) services, respite care, and caregiver support services. At Caremate Wellness Solutions, we are honored to connect veterans with VA departments and community partners who provide eligibility screening, paperwork assistance, and referrals to VA‑approved care providers. We support veterans by asking basic, introductory questions to help link them to the resources they may qualify for.
The VA Aid & Attendance benefit is a tax-free monthly payment added to a veteran’s or surviving spouse’s pension if they meet certain medical and service requirements.
To be eligible, applicants must:
Have served at least 90 days of active duty, with at least one day during a wartime period (per VA-defined dates)
Be enrolled in or eligible for a VA pension
Meet VA-defined medical criteria, such as needing help with daily activities (e.g., bathing, dressing, toileting, or mobility)
Meet income and net worth limits set annually by the VA (for 2026, the net worth cap is $163,699)
2026 Maximum Annual Pension Rates (MAPRs) with Aid & Attendance (VA.gov):
Single veteran: $29,093/year
Married veteran (1 dependent): $34,488/year
Two Veterans Married: $46,143/year
These annual benefits are typically paid monthly and can be used toward personal care at home, assisted living, or similar non-VA care settings.
Note: Actual benefit amounts vary based on the individual’s income, deductions, and dependent status. The figures above represent the maximum possible award for each category.
